Rare breeds

39. We acknowledge the potential that cloning affords in regard to the saving and preserving of rare breeds of animals. Material taken from such animals, for example hair follicles which are a potential source of DNA, may in future be stored in a frozen state so that the nuclear DNA may be transferred and grown into a mature animal for reintroduction into the herd at a later stage.
