34. Lighting patterns and intensity should be of a type which encourage cows to feed and perform their normal behaviour (paragraph 127).
35. Adequate lighting should be available to allow proper inspection of stock (paragraph 128).
36. Government should produce and distribute advisory literature on the avoidance of heat stress in dairy cattle. This should form part of the "Action on Animal Welfare" series (paragraph 133).
