FAWC's Strategic Plan 2006-2010

In October 2006 FAWC published its Strategic Plan 2006-2010 (76 KB).

The need for a strategic planning process and the publication of a Plan was identified by Professor Christopher Wathes, Chairman of the Farm Animal Welfare Council.  The project involved the Council considering its strategic direction; the efficiency with which it addresses farm animal welfare issues and produces advice to Government; and the priorities for its future work.  The process included detailed consultation with Ministers, CVOs and Officials in England, Scotland and Wales and with our wide stakeholder base.

Work is now under way to review progress against the Strategic Plan 2006-2010 and begin preparation of the successor Strategic Plan for 2011-2016, which should be published in 2010.”
